Scott makes his living as an IT director and a states and national champion in the javelin throw as well as a world masters silver medalist in the event. Working with athletes of all ages as a javelin coach and spending the weekends podcasting with his co host and long time friend Dave both host "Never Too Serious" A conversational style podcast keeping it light and fun with topics.

Why is it that we always try and classify or put a label on something because having an answer is always the goal but even then the outcome is wrong if we do not like the result. Seems like a progress halted and a community is closed off the description might be deep but when Kelly is on its never just as simple as that.

#717 - Roma Airia Garcia ("Stories Of Saniwa" Podcast)

Roma first developed her interest in Japanese culture from watching Anime as a child. She then developed a deeper interest into the country's history in university while watching historical drama to practice after picking up Japanese as a third language. Japanese style swords or nihonto has been a staple in modern day pop culture. Most people know them from movies such as Kill Bill or video games such as Final Fantasy but historically, Japanese put a lot more meaning into the making and handling of these swords. Roma runs a podcast called Stories of Saniwa where she shares some interesting facts and stories behind some of the most famous Japanese swords in history.

#715 - Dr. Thomas Linley (Deep-sea Science & Podcaster)

Dr. Linley has been working in deep-sea science since 2006, following an undergraduate and two masters degrees in marine biology. He has mainly focused on the use of autonomous vehicles to observe animals in their natural environment while causing minimal impact or disturbance. The necessity to repair and maintain equipment in the field has lead to an understanding of current deep-sea technology and an awareness of its failings and inflated cost. This lead to the development of the electronic components for the teams autonomous landers. He feels that the deep sea is often misrepresented in media and is keen for people to see it as it really is and feel connected to it. To share the deep sea with people he created "The Deep Sea Podcast".

#714 - Dave Cottrell (Mindset & Mental Health Coach)

Dave who operates online under the name "Mindset By Dave" is a mindset and mental health coach who utilizes multiple platforms to help people with their mental health. He is a public speaker, live streamer, host of the Mental Health talkshow "Master the Mind, Master Anything" and co-host of the NHS endorsed talkshow The Mental Health Family Hour, which he won a Prime Minister's Points of Light award for in 2020. As well as being a coach with professional experience, Dave also has lived experience of mental health. Living with type 2 bipolar disorder Dave has experienced depression, mania, psychosis and anxiety all of which he is happy to open up about in a stigma free way.

John is one of the hosts of "Go Deep Podcast" where he and his friends talk about everything under the sun that can make you think or make you laugh. Especially in todays time sometimes its nice to tune in to a episode where you can be brought in to a conversation and listen and possibly learn losing the aspect of a script and just seeing where it goes.

The news is becoming a more entertaining realty show than 90 day fiancée but with it all leading up to a end when you see the delete Facebook trending on social media. Will this be the time we hop off the control and distorting view of social media and start developing our own views rather than one we read. The world may be tense but just a step towards a new normal is what they say, who knew they meant an app.

#711 - Steve Whitehead (Spartan History Podcaster)

Steve is born and raised in Brisbane, Australia. From his earliest memory has had a fascination with all things historical. As the years progressed Steve's focus narrowed to ancient Greek and Roman history. Then converted that passion into a job working as a tour guide in Greece and Turkey from 2004 till 2011 where he had the opportunity to share the things he loved with other tour members. He works full time as a salesman these days but never forgot his love of history, reading and privately studying it every spare moment. Eventually he worked up the courage to commit to starting up his podcast " Spartan History Podcast at the end of 2019 and has never looked back.
