A particular focus in her career has been working with those with dependency issues, mental health concerns and chronic pain disorders. Joya dedicates her time to helping others as a patient advocate and by volunteering for groups such as MAPS Canada, Canadian Centre for Psychedelic Science and SheCann Cannabis.

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, John is a die-hard Jaguars and Florida Gators fan. He has an unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter, Shiba Inu dogs, Jason Voorhees, iced coffee and his tabby cat Otto. He runs the film podcast and YouTube channel "Blood, Sweat and Popcorn" looking at films and perspectives of guests connection with the film and getting down to a theme and overall rating unlike one you see on rotten tomatoes.

Writing a book called "The Confessions of a Psychedelic Christian" that speaks on the link of psychedelics and religion to show a relation of text and the world.
